
General Mills - Sophomore Shady Day Invite - Marketing Communications General Mills is looking for canidates who fit the following criteria:
- Current Sophomores enrolled at UW-MadisonThe one big caveat for this event is that students are required to provide their own travel accommodations, but everything during the Shadow Day is covered by General Mills.
- Non-School Of Business (Given that the program is run through the B-School, we'd like to diversify.)
- Strong interest in Marketing Communications (See description below, and note that it is not advertising focused.)
Location: Minneapolis, MNAd Club is looking for two sophomores to participate in General Mills Shadow Day. If you fit the criteria and would like to take part or just want more information, please email ewingate@wisc.edu. We need to select students by December 9 so the sooner the submission, the better!

JOIN ADVERTISING CLUB'S EXECUTIVE BOARD We are looking for talented and passionate ad club members to fill our Member Relations and Promotions positions. If you are interested please apply by December 7 at 3pm. To apply please send your resume and a short statment with what position you are interested in, why you are interested in being part of the executive board and why you would be a good fit for the position. All materials should be sent to Elizabeth Wingate at ewingate@wisc.edu. Interviews will take place at 7p.m. on December 7th.
Promotions Chair:
Here's your opportunity to advertise Ad Club! As Promotions Chair, you'll be in charge of all visible Ad Club materials including
fliers, bi-weekly e-newsletters, promotional materials, handouts, display boards and much more. You'll also manage our social media
accounts such as facebook and twitter. The person chosen will be responsible for upholding the visible brand of our club while
expressing his/herself creatively.
Member Relations:
Member Relations chair is responsible for the management of our club membership. They are our primary contact with AAF and are expected
to keep our roster up to date both within the club, and with the national chapter. They are also responsible for interactions between
other members. Past Member Relations chairs have planned ice breakers, introductions and so on. This semester, MR Chairs help keep
the Ad Club youtube playlist up to date for each meeting. This is a great position for someone who is organized, responsible and
willing to communicate professionally with AAF. Please note, training will be provided before the Spring semester starts.

Mr. Dettman is the Director of
Marketing for Johnson Direct,
a full-service marketing and
advertising agency in Brookfield,
Wisconsin. He is also on the
board of directors for the
Business Marketing Association
of Milwaukee.
We won AAF's College Chapter Membership Contest with the largest AAF college chapter! We couldn't have done it without all of our 108 members!
We meet every Tuesday on the fifth floor of vilas in the round table room, although meetings become less frequent further in the semester.
