INTERNSHIP WITH THE ONION

The Onion is seeking an outgoing, reliable promotions intern in our Madison office. This unpaid internship will include work in our advertising sales and/or promotions departments, client relations, and promotional events in the Madison area. Additionally, the promotions intern will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the activities of a 3-5 member street team.  
Qualifications 
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Enthusiastic about Madison's live music scene
· Strong interest in print media and local promotions
· Available 10 to 15 hours per week (some night and weekend hours required)
 Compensation
· Unpaid, but check with your college or university for possible credit
· Valuable experience working with nationally recognized publication in branding, marketing and promotions

Necessary Skills:
•  Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, as well as Microsoft Office programs

Duties:
•  Post and maintain press releases via the GMCC website
•  Design documents using Adobe Programs 
•  Help run GMCC programs and events

You will have the opportunity to work in sales, marketing, and event coordination.  It is a great experience and a lot of fun.

INTERNSHIP WITH CLEAR CHANNEL-RADIO MADISON

Clear Channel-Radio Madison is always looking for qualified candidates to intern at Z104 and Star Country! Internships are available by semester. If you are an outgoing, friendly person, who knows how to balance hard work with having fun, then this opportunity is for you.

CCR-Madison is looking for interns to work in their promotions and production department. Become a member of the Z or Star promotional team and gain valuable experience in radio promotions! Responsibilities include promoting station/clients at events, executing station remotes, in-office tasks, help with imaging and production, and interacting with station listeners.

Interning for our station doesn’t mean filing papers in an office all day long. You’ll be out on the street meeting listeners, learning the ins and outs of how our promotions department runs, assisting with content production, etc. Interns will also have an opportunity to learn about on-air promotional duties and other aspects of how the radio station operates!
